Hatay (National staff only)
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is looking for Project Assistants for the ERW Risk Education project in Hatay.

The Project Assistants will be implementing the awareness raising activities for Syrian refugees and host communities. They will furthermore participate in developing and adapting the methods and materials used. Under the supervision of the Risk Education Team

Duties
Leader, the Assistants will have the following responsibilities and duties:

•Provide Risk Education Awareness Sessions to the Syrian refugee population based in Hatay province;
•Provide Risk Education Trainings when requested;
•Develop all tools necessary to their RE tasks;
•Report on all implemented activity;
•Facilitate the monitoring of the implemented activities by the Risk Education Team Leader (including translation);
•Ensure that all Risk Education activities are implemented to a high standard;
•Liaise with the community leaders to sensitize them to the RE project;
•In coordination with the Team Leader ensure that all forms and questionnaires are accurate, of high quality and are adapted to the local context;
•Collect the requested data, using the forms and questionnaires provided by the Team Leader;
•Regularly monitor the impact of the activities;
•Handle all project-related documentation and ensure proper filing;
•Conduct any other professional task requested by the Team Leader or the Program Manager.
About You:
•Teaching skills – at least 2 years of relevant professional experience with training/teaching/facilitation or similar;
•Commitment in social issues – previous experience with social work an asset;
•Fluency in Arabic and excellent skills in English (written and spoken). Turkish and/or Kurdish is a plus;
•Computer literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
•Previous experience with reporting, monitoring & evaluation an asset;

•Flexible, enthusiastic and willingness to learn from others;
•Ability to multi-task and cope with competing demands under tight deadlines;
•Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment;
•Commitment to the humanitarian principles;
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
We offer
An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant an initial contract for untill 31 December 2014,neweable with performance and funding. Salary and conditions are in accordance with DRC Turkey’s Terms of Employment for National Staff. You must be available to work in Hatay (Turkey).
