The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a sub-institution of United Nations and was inaugurated on December 14, 1950 by the decision of United Nations General Assembly. The main purpose of the institution is to coordinate and take the head of international efforts for the sake of defending the refugees and providing solutions to the refugee challenges.
