The postholder’s main responsibility is to support procurement and logistics functions as per DRC/donor regulations and procedures.

In Turkey, DRC is supporting partners to work with Syrian non-camp population displaced to south/southeastern Turkey. The program includes activities in 2 community centers and various outreach activities (referral, follow-up and awareness sessions).
Duties
The Logistic Officer or Assistant will have the following duties and responsibilities:
•Ensure timely procurement and logistic tasks achievement.
•Organize the daily / weekly / monthly logistics and procurement plan, in coordination with the program staff.
•Ensure that all procurement is processed in accordance with applicable guidelines and good practice.
•Evaluate and mentor the logistic/procurement partner staff.
•Assess logistic/procurement needs and supervise the correctness of partner’s procedures.
Duties

Specific responsibilities:
•Follow donor’s procurement guidelines as well as the guidelines of DRC.
•Keep procurement files in accordance with DRC guidelines and ready for audit (in coordination with finance), as well as to assess and report to management any needs for derogations could be included.
•Ensure all contracts placed with suppliers are correct as per DRC procedures.
•Ensure all procurement files are complete, correct and have the relevant signatures before they are submitted to the finance department for payment.
•Ensure that all asset information is obtained on procurement and kept accurately.
•Submit update of assets list to the Country Director.
•Keep soft and hard records of all logistic/procurement contracts (services, goods, works).
•Prepare invitation for bidders and attend procurement meetings.
•Organize and oversee all special logistic operations as, and when the situation arises.
•Ensure all logistical office and guesthouse needs are covered.
•Ensure drivers are trained on basic rules and regulations.

•Participate in an overall development of the operation
•Reviewing and revising DRC’s Logistic Handbook on a continuous basis
•Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by supervisor.

About you:
•Relevant university degree; business, supply chain or similar field
•Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
•NGO experience preferred
•Good communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills Commitment to the values, vision and mission of DRC
•Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel…)
•Self-motivation and strong team spirit
•Well-developed organizational and planning skills
•Able to communicate both verbally and in written in English and Turkish. Arabic is a plus.
•Willingness to travel to other parts of Turkey.

We offer
An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant an initial contract for 2 months, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. Salary and conditions are in accordance with DRC Turkey’s Terms of Employment for National Staff.Transportation will be provided from Gaziantep. You must be available to work in Kilis ( Turkey).
