Position: Education/Protection Program Manager
Location: Gaziantep, Turkey
Duration: 6 Months, with possibility of extension
Reports to: Turkey Country Director

Position Summary: The Program Manager is responsible for developing, planning and leading the implementation of RI’s emergency program to respond to the needs of vulnerable refugee communities in Turkey. The Program Manager is responsible for the day-today management of the project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with regard to day-to-day implementation and management matters relating to the program agreement;
- Report on progress of program implementation to the donor and within internal channels;
- Ensure quality control of overall program implementation;
- Oversee and manage all national staff working for the program;
- Oversee and ensure quality implementation of teaming partner and other actors involved in the program;
- Ensure monitoring, evaluating and documenting progress of program implementation against indicators;
- Ensure that activities are on track, including developing and implementing solutions as necessary;
- Providing overall guidance and direction focusing the program team on achieving agreed targets and long-term strategic objectives;
- Establish and maintain systems for program operations in accordance with RI policies and procedures;
- Provide guidance to staff on all issues related to program implementation;
- Oversee that key program activities are achieved per program budget, timeline and donor requirements;
- Oversee the preparation and submission of technical reports to Country Director as per the grant agreement;
- Maintain effective communication with donors and other organizations operating in Turkey, for coordination and partnership opportunities;
- Participate in NGO sector coordination groups and identify areas for coordination and collaboration;
- Maintain effective communication with RI’s Regional and Global support offices regarding program implementation;
- Perform other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- At least five years of managerial experience implementing complex donor-funded projects, particularly those that focus on humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities, education and protection in emergencies, public health, and water and sanitation.
- At least two years of experience working in the Middle East and/or a post-conflict setting.
- Graduate degree in Education, Health, International Relations, Management, or related field.
- Arabic language skills required.
