The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has been working in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (ECIS) since 1992, and serves over 30 countries and territories in Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build better lives.
The UNDP Regional Centre for Europe and the CIS – based in Istanbul, Turkey -- provides advisory support and knowledge management services to UNDP Country Offices and its partners in the ECIS region in the areas of Sustainable Development (including Poverty and Inequality; Green Economy and Employment; Extractive Industries), Governance and Peacebuilding (including HIV, Health and Development; Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Development; Anti-Corruption and E-Governance; Local Governance and Decentralization; Human Rights and Rule of Law), Gender Equality, Knowledge and Innovation, and Energy, Climate Change and Disaster Resilience . In addition, the Centre supports the programme development of these offices at the national level.
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the ICT Specialist, the WEB developer maintains and enhances Istanbul RSCI web resources, develops new online applications and manages security of online resources in line with UNDP standards and industry best practices. The WEB Developer is also responsible for review of and advice on the use of new technologies that will enhance the efficiency and productivity. The WEB Developer promotes a client-oriented approach.
The WEB Developer is an integral part of the IT Unit team and as such assists internal clients with resolving issues related UNDP online resources, offers new solutions. The WEB Developer works in close collaboration with the Knowledge and Innovations team to provide coherent, functional and user friendly online presence.

Duties and Responsibilities | |
The Web Developer is responsible for providing effective and efficient web services especially related to the development and deployment of online applications.

Deliverables/Outputs
The IC is expected to deliver monthly progress reports with time sheets indicating the fulfilment/progress of requested tasks/activities. Payments will be made on monthly basis, only upon confirmation of UNDP on deliveries in a satisfactory manner. In order to fulfill required tasks, the estimated number of days to be invested by the consultant is up to 120 working days until the end of the assignment with maximum of 20 working days per month.

Evaluation of Applicants
Individual consultants will be evaluated based on a cumulative analysis taking into consideration the combination of the applicants’ qualifications and financial proposal.
The award of the contract should be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:
